Town awards 2026 road resurfacing and ADA ramp contracts; timeline set for completion

Administrator Matt reviewed the scope and timing for several public-works contracts included in the consent agenda. He said the 2026 road improvement program (contract 2026-01) will cover town roadways and work for Ridgewood Water and Wyndham Court North; Ridgewood Water will fund about $385,000 of work and the township about $535,000.
Regarding the ADA curb ramps project (award 2026-02), Matt said the contractor is D.S. Meyer and that "that project will begin this Thursday with a kickoff meeting or preconstruction meeting and that project has to be completed by the end of the summer so that right after Labor Day we can roll right into paving." The committee noted the schedule is intended so paving is completed before the school leaf season.
The shade-tree removal and pruning contract (award 2026-03) came in roughly $20,000 less than expected, the administrator said. The committee directed staff to proceed with contracting and preconstruction coordination.
