Hunter Bell of Dunlap and Shipman appeared and told the board he represented applicants on two variance requests and asked to continue both cases to the next meeting. ‘‘I'm here tonight on 2 variance requests ... I'll go ahead and continue both of them to next month,’’ Bell said, identifying the matters as the Robert Doty variance and the Commodores Retreat variance.
A board member moved to continue VAR26-31 (Doty) and VAR26-32 (Commodores Retreat) to the Aug. 27 meeting; the motion was seconded and carried with recorded “aye” votes. The board noted no members of the public rose to speak in opposition at the July meeting. The continuances were entered to the record so applicants can have fuller attendance and avoid losing the cases due to the current four‑member composition.
