North Penn begins community-driven strategic planning with 'Framing the Future' forum

The North Penn School District opened its Framing the Future 2014 community forum with an overview of the district’s strategic-planning timeline and a request for broad public input. "A strategic plan is an important road map for our school district," the keynote presenter said as the forum kicked off, and organizers urged attendees to complete written feedback forms that will inform a larger Futures Conference in the spring.
The presentation outlined required plan elements and described a multi-step process: staff in‑services and teacher workshops in winter, a community survey in January–February, and a three-day Futures Conference in April to synthesize findings. Consultant Dr. Nancy Arenson will help facilitate the large-group Futures Conference, and the district said the full PowerPoint and a follow-up summary will be posted on NPTV and the district website. Moderator Bob closed the meeting by thanking student volunteers and reminding attendees to turn in feedback sheets and sign up for future participation.
