An LEDC representative told the committee the organization will pay staff to contact every vendor in Spanish and English, pay for mailings and produce a comprehensive guide to the permitting process if the city agrees to a pause and re‑education period. "We'll pay for a mailing... We'll call every single food truck," the representative said, offering to support a six‑month pause and to reimburse outreach costs.
Several councilors welcomed LEDC’s offer as a way to remove language and access barriers, and to help vendors navigate health, fire and police steps in a single one‑stop event. The committee asked DPW to collaborate with LEDC and HHS on outreach plans and to include results when the issue returns to the full council.
