Auditor reports MIDAS said comprehensive plan was not declared illegal

Auditor Nita Hinrickson told the Board of Supervisors she had spoken with 'Stacy' from MIDAS in follow-up to last week's solar discussion. Hinrickson said Stacy told her MIDAS did not state the county's comprehensive plan had been completed illegally; rather, MIDAS was retained to ensure the plan was completed properly.
Hinrickson also advised the board that Chairman Louis Stauter had received an email from Dennis Naughton indicating his approval of a possible solar project and providing contrary arguments from an individual. The board recorded the clarification as part of the public record; no formal action was taken at the July 14 meeting.
