Trustees approve multiple grant resolutions, franchise agreements and capital items

At the April 13 meeting Mesilla trustees approved planning and zoning case 062109, TPF applications for McDow and Cologne, an NMFA solar application, two Destination Forward grant applications, franchise renewals with Comcast and Ripple, a town-hall roof repair estimate and several other items; the board postponed the DACF vector-control agreement for more information.
The Mesilla Board of Trustees approved a slate of administrative and grant-related items during the regular meeting on April 13.
Key approvals included Planning & Zoning Case 062109 (2392 Karan) for modest exterior repairs and a 16x16 pergola; resolutions to pursue Transportation Project Fund (TPF) applications for McDow Road and Cologne; resolution 202622 to apply for NMFA Local Solar Access funds for well-site solar; and two Destination Forward grant submissions for a historic fire-truck restoration and a visitor-center remodel. The board also approved a roof repair estimate for town hall and renewed a Comcast franchise agreement and a new franchise with Ripple.
Trustees postponed action on the Donana County vector-control agreement pending renewal details and a requested presentation on hot zones and larvicide procedures. For most routine approvals the roll-call votes were unanimous or near-unanimous; staff will bring finalized contract documents or grant agreements back to the board when awards or agreements are ready for signature.
