Commissioner to seek more detail on NEKCAP environmental review and possibly invite representative

The commission discussed a Northeast Kansas Community Action Program (NEKCAP) environmental review at the July 14 meeting and directed Commissioner John Calhoon to pursue more information at a NEKCAP board meeting this week in Hiawatha.
Commissioner Calhoon will attempt to obtain additional details at the NEKCAP meeting and report back to the board; commissioners also suggested inviting a NEKCAP representative to a future meeting to expand on the environmental review for the commission and the public.
The meeting minutes do not include NEKCAP materials or a presenter at the July 14 session; the board recorded only the direction to follow up.
