Gene Maricle introduced Brian Wiles of Loveland, Kansas as the newest member of the Municipal Services Department crew, saying Wiles previously worked for Overland Park and Lenexa and brought experience in utility locates, roadway maintenance and operating equipment.
"Mister Brian Wiles from Loveland, Kansas comes to the city of Basehor with experience gained while working for city of Overland Park in the city of Lenexa," Maricle said, noting that staff reported strong performance on Wiles's second day, including a 12-hour shift during winter weather and assistance with pretreatment and pothole repairs. The council welcomed Wiles and thanked him for joining the crew.
