The Hillsboro Land Bank, meeting as part of the council session, approved prior meeting minutes and vouchers totaling $2,742.22. Staff then introduced a new three-year lease with Samuel Kaufman to continue agricultural use of roughly four acres in the Willow Glen addition under the same terms as the prior lease.
Webb said the rent is set by a K-State schedule and that the new lease effectively transfers responsibilities from the prior lessee. The board approved the lease by motion. Staff also presented a replatting action for AMCI property; several lots must be put into the city's name for tax purposes, after which the city will apply to the Board of Tax Appeals to adjust tax rolls. The board moved to transfer the identified property parcels to the City of Hillsboro, and the motion carried.
