Council approves transfer of AMPI parcels from land bank to city for tax‑roll work
Summary
Council approved transferring six of seven replatted AMPI parcels back into the city's name while retaining one commercial parcel in the land bank so the city can pursue board-of-tax-appeals action and remove public-purpose parcels from tax rolls.

City Administrator Stiles summarized prior steps on AMPI property and explained the county appraiser had taken the position the replatted parcels were not eligible for land‑bank tax exemption. To address that, Stiles said the city replatted and split the property into seven parcels, kept one commercial parcel in the land bank, and proposed transferring the remaining parcels into the city's name to streamline appeals and tax‑roll actions.
A motion to approve the property transfer carried by voice vote; the transfer will allow the city to close on the sale and record a deed transfer by the end of the week, Stiles said.
