Crystal Hennen of Ransom Financial (speaker S6), who joined by video, said the commercial renovation finished with a total project cost of $641,553.83 and a CDBG grant of $300,000. Hennen described unexpected change orders encountered when workers "started touching the building," including replacement and refurbishment of larger-than-expected windows and remedial work where a hole was found that had been taking in water. "They look beautiful," Hennen said of the restored windows, and she thanked council and staff for supporting the project.
Mayor (speaker S1) asked for motions to complete the closeout. Councilman Wilkins moved to authorize the mayor and city clerk to sign the closeout paperwork; Councilman Jorgensen seconded and the motion carried. Council then approved the final payout to close the CDBG file: "So could I get a motion to approve the final payout of $3,000 to close out the CDBG 24-CR-005 for 126 North Main," the mayor said; the council voted in favor and the motion carried (mover: Councilman Wilkins; seconder: Councilman Jorgensen).
