The Chaska City Council took the following formal actions at its July 20 meeting:
- Adopted the meeting agenda by voice vote. - Approved the June 29, 2026 meeting minutes. - Approved the consent agenda (no items pulled for discussion beyond a brief question regarding a cannabis retail/cultivation item). - Accepted the 2025 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report and related audit reports from CliftonLarsonAllen (clean/unmodified opinion). - Adopted Resolution 2026-65 approving the Vista Ridge / Johnson Ryland Homes concept plan (PC 2026-12) with conditions (tree inventory, steep-slope setbacks, revised street grades, trail/sidewalk clarifications) and directed the developer to return with preliminary materials. - Authorized the city administrator to execute a letter of intent to negotiate a proposed TIF assistance agreement for the Big Woods Business Park North and instructed staff to proceed with financial due diligence and subsequent public hearing and approvals. - Approved the bills and payroll as presented.
Most votes were taken by voice; where required the clerk called roll for a bill payment motion. Formal TIF plan amounts and some technical engineering conditions remain subject to future council approvals.
