Board backs Heartland Park site for concrete cornhole set, will ask Council for budget

Magenta Hammond said the Parks Department requested funding in the 2026 budget for a new set of concrete cornhole boards similar to a trial installation at Heartland Park in June 2025. Amanda Mack noted Watertown had purchased cornhole sets and a concrete table for its City Hall, and said the vendor, Artisan Concrete Concepts, "does wonderful work." The board agreed that Heartland Park is the most suitable permanent location and supported placing the city logo on the boards.
The Park Board will present the funding recommendation to City Council as part of the budget process. No formal appropriation was made at the Feb. 11 meeting; the request will proceed through the normal budget review and Council approval steps.
