The Macksville Unified School District No. 351 Board of Education voted Jan. 12 to schedule its annual election of the board president and vice-president for the first board meeting in July 2026. The resolution cites K.S.A. 2019 Supp. 72-1133 as the statutory authority for the timing of the election.
The motion to set the election timing (Reso #80) was made by Mr. Duane Miller and seconded by Mr. Brian Anshutz; the minutes record the voice vote as "Yes: 6," and the motion carried. Board members did not take any additional action on officer appointments at the Jan. 12 meeting. The July meeting will be the next opportunity for the board to elect its officers.
