The Middleton Planning and Zoning Commission met on July 13, 2026, and approved three agenda items by unanimous vote. Chair Matthew Watkins called the meeting to order and commissioners handled a consent agenda approving minutes from June 8 before moving to three substantive actions.
Key outcomes: the commission approved a design review for an Idaho Pizza at 962 Bozak Street with site conditions including a required cross-access easement and ADA pathway; it approved a materials waiver and design review for a donated indoor baseball/softball hitting facility at Middleton High School while requiring enhanced mature landscaping on the east (Stonehaven-facing) side; and it approved a preliminary plat to split Lot 4 at 11167 Tungsten Street into two one-acre M1 parcels with a proposed ~13,000 sq ft flex building. The public comment period produced no sign-ups. All motions were adopted unanimously by the five commissioners present.
