NID staff outline outreach, business canvassing and upcoming events

NID staff provided a group update on outreach and program activity. Staff said they were invited to participate in a Black History Month focus group and that BBIF (Black Business Investment Fund) is interested in helping small businesses with funding and financial-literacy support. Staff also reported touring the Lynx superstation as part of corridor work.
The minutes record that a Lunch and Learn will take place at the Pine Hills Community Center on either February 18 or February 25 (date to be confirmed) and that Evans High School will designate the Business Corridor Cleanup as "Evans Trojan Day." Staff said they are continuing door-to-door canvassing of NID businesses.
