Residents and code compliance raise concerns about right-of-way trash, signs and drainage

At the meeting Jemoral Jackson of Orange County Code Compliance described operational confusion about how a claw truck picks up trash from the right-of-way and said right-of-way signs have appeared in front of some businesses. "I'm not sure of the process of the claw truck picking up the trash in the ROW," Jackson said.
Jackson reported contractors are catching up on lot cleanings and that grass had been cut along Pine Hills Road. Daisy Townsend asked whether landscapers who dump clippings that clog drains face fines; Jackson said that is primarily a roads-and-drainage concern. Tamara Johnson cautioned that Code Compliance is understaffed and is trying to keep up with complaints and cases.
