Chair Michael Strayhorn asked for the official 2024 public-safety numbers; OCSO agreed to provide a report to the council.
Smith and others noted that auto burglaries remain frequent and are often the result of unlocked vehicle doors and visible valuables. The council did not take formal action; staff asked OCSO to deliver a detailed monthly report.
