Museum events draw hundreds; commission to present 3‑D ruins model to town council

A commission member (S3) reported that the Nathan Lester House’s July 4 program proceeded indoors because of heat and still drew a strong turnout; "we estimated that we had between 2 and 300 people," S3 said, describing tours, indoor exhibits and a children’s water play area on the lawn.
Chair (S1) said a photographer will create a 3-D virtual model of ruins and feature circles the commission found on the site, and the model will be used in a future presentation to the town council to support preservation work. The museum also hosted a sparsely attended annual meeting (attributed to the heat) and received interest from a neighboring historical society about staging a locally commissioned play at the Lesser House in the fall.
Commissioners discussed ways to increase social-media photo coverage and involve volunteers in programming and tours ahead of summer events and the Aug. 5 market day.
