Faith Action is recruiting volunteers and preparing a leadership program to help Spanish‑speaking residents take leadership roles on nonprofit boards, the organization’s representative said on Talk City Greensboro.
"Siempre estamos recibiendo voluntarios… somos un equipo de 9 personas," Maricruz Hernández said, adding that volunteers and interns strengthen the organization’s capacity. She named John Storm as the staff member handling volunteer coordination and provided a phone contact for the office.
Hernández also previewed an upcoming Faith Action training to convert community members into leaders who can serve on boards. The initiative, she said, is designed to amplify immigrant voices in local decision making and encourage participation on school and nonprofit boards.
Faith Action asked interested residents to visit its website or call the office to learn about volunteer shifts and the leadership training timeline.
