Several FFA students and an adviser presented a summary of their trip to the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis. Students described attending leadership workshops, touring the Expo hall, trying hands-on simulators and networking with peers from other states. "I think it was 74,000 people there and it just keeps getting more and more," one student said of the convention attendance.
Student speakers emphasized educational takeaways beyond traditional agriculture, noting careers in veterinary science, chemistry and marketing tied to agriculture that can lead to scholarships. Several students announced personal achievements — one cited an adviser and scholarship opportunities — and advisers thanked the board for supporting travel to the convention.
The student remarks were presented as part of the agenda; no formal action was requested. Board members expressed appreciation for the experiences and recognized the local chapter's recruitment and scholarship successes.
