New interim teachers' union president introduced to El Rancho Unified board

Hugo Gutierrez introduced himself to the El Rancho Unified School District board as the interim president of the El Rancho Federation of Teachers Local 3467. Gutierrez said he has worked in the district since about 1999–2000, taught special education and social studies at El Rancho High School until this year, and plans to be visible across district schools as he takes on union leadership duties.
"I look forward to working collaboratively with the board and administration," Gutierrez said. Trustees welcomed him to the meeting and thanked him for attending his first board session as interim president.
