Council approves first 2026 budget amendment, adds digital reader boards

The Eden Plus City Council approved Ordinance 2841, the first budget amendment for fiscal year 2026, on July 13.
Finance Director Kristen Reed explained she made small changes between readings, including adding "an additional $35,000 for 2 digital reader boards, that'll be paid for out of the street fund." Reed also noted that the amendment reduces the reserve balance in Fund 35 (the Facilities Fund) below the city's reserve policy. The committee supported the amendment on second reading and council adopted it by voice vote.
