Select Board member Matt Stolnis reported an incident at the town RV park in which a resident became verbally abusive to staff over unresolved tax abatement issues. An investigation by the board found three years of unprocessed abatements that the board attributed to former staff errors, and the board said it will correct those errors and improve communication with RV park residents.
The board also agreed to adopt signage enabling trespass orders under RSA authority and to review town-wide RV assessment and abatement practices. “I want to see if I can schedule a sit-down with Chad… the explanation doesn’t make sense to me,” Matt said as he described the need to follow up and fix administrative errors. The board did not vote to change abatements at this meeting beyond the direction to correct mistakes and review practices.
