Linda Stinnett presented the city's year-end report prepared by Rachelle and told the council that fund balances are not yet official because an audit with Aclarian is ongoing and progressing slowly. She said the budget was balanced by reclassifying the Buckaroo Barn purchase and that water, sewer and sanitation funds are in good condition; employee benefit funds are also in reasonable shape and COVID funds were finalized.
"Fund balance not official, still in audit working with Aclarian to get fixed but is slow," Linda said, summarizing the status. The council did not take formal action on the report during the meeting; the minutes note staff will continue work with auditors and finalize balances.
The year-end discussion included reclassification actions and brief budget context but no formal vote. Staff indicated follow-up with auditors and continued monitoring of fund balances during the audit process.
