Staff and the consultant team reviewed the next steps for the development‑code overhaul and sought additional commissioner input. Matt told the commission staff will gather feedback from the Planning Commission and Council, conduct online questionnaires and focus groups (including a Spanish‑language group), produce a consolidated revised draft and then continue outreach before adoption.
"We'll then take everything we've heard from you and council and everybody else and put together a combined revised draft set of code amendments," Matt said, and noted the project aims to complete adoption in fall 2026, acknowledging the process is roughly one month behind schedule. Staff asked commissioners to share any outstanding comments; staff will carry the recorded workshop feedback to the City Council next week.
No adoption occurred at the workshop. Staff committed to organizing focused outreach (December–January) and to returning with a consolidated draft for review early in 2026.
