Chair Samara Pitre described a planning process the town will use to address the use of shipping containers as buildings. The Planning Board plans to send a town‑wide survey late this summer to collect resident feedback for the upcoming Master Plan. After the Master Plan, the town will consider zoning changes through the Planning Board and Zoning Board and, if necessary, put changes before voters at a future Town Meeting.
The Select Board discussed coordination with the Building Inspector, Doug Weekes, and emphasized that the survey responses will inform next steps. No regulatory changes were proposed at the July 7 meeting; the discussion was procedural and framed as part of the Master Plan timeline.
