Consultant StructurePoint reviewed Washington County demographics and statistics at a Sept. 16 special meeting focused on the county's comprehensive plan. The presentation covered 2020 census information, 2024 home values, home-ownership rates, household income, county employment and unemployment figures, 2022 commuter behavior, tourism data, and land-use analysis.
Meeting participants asked for additional information. Keely Stingel requested more tourism data and 'best use' analysis for office space; Lori Gilstrap asked whether it was possible to track county residents who work remotely. StructurePoint (Rachel) said the firm would look into those requests. The board set the next meeting for Monday, Oct. 7, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.
