Robin Erickson, senior director of advertising for the tourism marketing team, presented the renewal recommendation after a competitive RFP that attracted five applicants and involved a six-person evaluation committee. She said both Zimmerman Agency (PR/advertising) and RDW Group (media buying) are current agencies of record and staff recommended renewing one-year contracts for each, not to exceed $4,000,000 for the term.
Board members asked no substantive questions during the brief presentation; a motion to approve the renewals was made and the board voted aye to approve. Staff said the contracts will continue current advertising and media-buying activities through the one-year term and that the procurement process had included regional partners in the evaluation.
