The board approved an amendment to the site‑readiness grant agreement with the City of Woonsocket that reallocates previously approved funds from an elevator installation to façade and ground‑floor retail improvements at the Longley Building after elevator costs rose.
Jeff Miller presented the request and said the original 2021 grant included elevator and ADA work. John Pagnerini, interim director of planning for Woonsocket, told the board the property owner hired a contractor to reopen and renovate the first floor and said the city expects “over a $5,000,000 investment based on the seed money from this grant.” Pagnerini also said the project will make the parking and entrances ADA‑compliant. The board approved the reallocation by voice vote.
