The Board of Public Works & Safety opened four sealed bids on July 1 for demolition of 201 N. Court Street. Attorney Alex Kutanovski read the bids: KLF Enterprises $55,500; C. Lee Construction Services (Option 1 $87,500; Option 2 $73,250); Brandenburg Industrial Services Company $120,133; and Underground Excavating Solutions $129,600. Kutanovski recommended the Board accept the bids as presented, pending review by the city’s Legal and Engineering departments.
Member Bob Clemons moved to accept the bids pending review and Member Bill Gomez seconded; the motion passed by unanimous voice vote. Mayor Pete Land said he would meet with the property owner, Mr. Graves, after the meeting to discuss the matter further. No final award was made at the July 1 meeting pending the recommended reviews.
