Council preview: $1.84 million award recommended for Inverness and Riverchase WWTP generator replacements

"Masten Inc. came in at $1,842,619," the engineering representative said, noting the project includes replacing and installing two emergency generators, ATS switches and docking stations at both plants to improve reliability during utility outages. The other bid received was $2,138,365.52.
Staff said funding for the project comes from a $6,100,000 critical sewer needs allocation; approving the $1,842,619 contract would increase amounts expended under that allocation and leave approximately $990,000 remaining for other projects.
Councilors asked whether this was the final project covered by that funding; staff said additional steps remain and that there are other projects still to be completed using the funding.
