The Basehor City Planning Commission completed its procedural items for the evening by electing leadership and approving minutes. A commissioner nominated John Gallien for chair; the nomination was seconded and the commission voted in favor of Gallien. "I'd like to nominate John to continue as the chairman," a commissioner said during the nomination.
For vice chair, a commissioner nominated Stacy Tackenhornish, noting she had filled in for the chair previously; the motion to elect Tackenhornish was seconded and passed. Commissioners then moved to approve the minutes of the preceding meeting (May 13, 2025) and the minutes were approved without changes. These actions completed the commission's procedural business before moving to substantive agenda items.
