Commission directs staff to study guardrails after recent fatal crash

The mayor asked the manager and counsel to explore options and noted the city could request a firm—Kimley‑Horn, which already has an airport contract—to perform a systemwide assessment. Commissioner Lampson recommended outreach to the Palm Beach MPO and grant sources; other commissioners agreed. "We should put number 1 priority guardrails for these streets in Belle Glade," the mayor said. The commission gave direction to staff to investigate scope, costs and potential funding pathways and to return with recommendations.
