The Humboldt Planning and Zoning Board convened Sept. 22, 2025, at the Humboldt Community Center. Chairman Dave Froke called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m.; members Mike Lias and Kristi Gambs were present, while Brad Gibbens and Mike Noonan were absent. Kristie Ellis attended for personnel; Julian Gambs and applicant Kelly O’Gorman were also present.
Board members handled routine business first. Member Kristi Gambs moved to approve the Sept. 22 agenda, a motion seconded by Chairman Froke and approved by unanimous roll call. Later in the meeting, Froke moved and Mike Lias seconded approval of the July 28, 2025 minutes; that motion also passed unanimously. These procedural approvals allowed the board to proceed to new business.
Under new business, the board reviewed a building permit application submitted by Kelly O’Gorman for an addition to her house and voted to recommend approval to the City Board. The board also recorded a set of permits previously approved administratively by the authorized agent, covering deck replacements, reroofing, a 10-by-12 shed, and window replacement at multiple Humboldt addresses. The board scheduled its next regular meeting for Oct. 27, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. and adjourned at 6:06 p.m.
