The Humboldt Natural Gas Board voted to approve a $1,824.90 purchase of a backup combustible gas indicator (CGI) detector from Sensit Technologies during its Feb. 18 meeting. The equipment was presented by Gas Utility Manager Eugene Betz as part of routine operational updates.
Betz told the board that he and technician Mike Beaner have been conducting maintenance and recently completed training with Terry Hanson on Feb. 5 and hands-on certification on Feb. 12, with the next training scheduled for March 10 in Garretson. Ashley Clarke moved to approve the Sensit Technologies quote; Heather VanZee seconded and the motion carried with all ayes.
