Senior Center Liaison Sharon Brzoska reported on recent facility improvements and program plans. She thanked Gerry and Alex for refurbishing patio tables and said the Garden Group has planted flowers, herbs and vegetables. Sharon said the center received a BCA grant that will help fund an improved audio system for the Great Room and support expansion of exercise programs; staff are seeking a qualified Tai Chi instructor.
Sharon outlined upcoming events: a Petrucci Ice Cream giveback night (next July 15, 6–8:30 p.m.), an eight-week Healthy Steps in Motion program beginning October 1 focused on balance and fall prevention, two November fundraisers (Fall Craft Fair and Bake Sale on Nov. 7 and Big Bingo on Nov. 15) and a Veterans Breakfast on Nov. 11. She noted the June general meeting drew about 80 members.
