Board members approved the claims list of $121,597.43, which included an $88,894.03 payment to American Fence Company and a $2,840.00 invoice to Roto Rooter. The meeting record shows the board also approved a $900 clothing allowance for employees and a $2,500 expenditure to rewire dimmer switches at the Humboldt Community Center. After a closed session pursuant to SDCL 1‑25‑2, the board voted to grant a $1.00 raise and add 10 hours to the office assistant position and to authorize 6% raises for the Natural Gas Manager, the Utility Manager and the Finance Officer.
The board scheduled joint public hearings on Jan. 27, 2025 for annexation, rezoning and a conditional‑use permit related to a proposed eight‑unit residential building on the south side of Humboldt. The meeting adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
