Allen Schmeichel and Tom Schartz of the Humboldt Economic Development Corporation presented items to the board on Oct. 14, including a proposal to explore relocation options for the Humboldt Museum's antiques. Council member Kelly O'Gorman moved and Amber Bailey-Froke seconded that the city send a letter to the museum curator explaining an option to find a new home for the antiques; the motion passed by unanimous roll call.
Schmeichel and Schartz also discussed an interactive building, available lots on Ford Street, and the appointment of two new HEDC members. The HEDC plans to distribute a survey to residents by mailing it with November utility bills to gather community input on development priorities.
