Humboldt board approves $3,609.12 library carpet, schedules painting

The Humboldt City Board approved replacing the Humboldt library carpet with a $3,609.12 quote from Carpet Wholesalers on Nov. 25, 2024. The motion was made by Amber Bailey-Froke and seconded by President Ritchy Griepp; roll call showed all members present voted aye.
Board members also noted that Gene and Mike will paint the library this week. The carpet purchase and painting were discussed together during the Old Business portion of the meeting as the board wrapped up work items before winter. The board did not attach additional conditions or a separate funding source for the purchase in the minutes.
The board’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Dec. 9, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at the Humboldt Community Center, where implementation details or installation timing could be revisited.
