At its May 12 meeting, the Union Point City Council considered a "Friend of Court Resolution" presented by City Attorney Joe Reitman in support of the City of Milton in the case Chang v. Milton. Council Member Sally Boswell moved to adopt the resolution but the motion received no second and therefore failed to advance.
The transcript records Attorney Reitman reviewing the resolution and Council Member Boswell making the motion; no second was recorded and the mayor did not call a formal roll-call vote. Jan Brazier, a DDA member, later commented she was disappointed the resolution did not receive a second. The council took no further formal action on this legal matter at the meeting.
