First Selectman Joe Bellavance told the Board of Selectmen on July 21 that “the Town had a great audit and that we are in good fiscal health.” The announcement came as the board reviewed financial reports and a slate of vouchers totaling several hundred thousand dollars.
The board approved multiple vouchers including Voucher #1726 for $425,970.20 and Voucher #1026 for $364,400.00 after a motion by Selectman Kayla Burgess, seconded by Selectman Sherri Vogt. Shelley Cates, joining by Google Meet, said the town’s financials were “on par,” and Bellavance noted heavy activity recently in the Tax Assessor’s and Revenue Collector’s offices during tax collection. The meeting packet included detailed department expenditure and revenue reports showing year-to-date balances through June 30, 2026.
