The Linn Valley City Council on Sept. 9 adopted Resolution 1-32 to repeal Resolution 1-30 and update the list of individuals authorized to sign checks and transfer funds. The mayor explained that the resolution removes retired clerk Karen’s name from signature sheets and authorizes current staff (including Cindy and Jenny) and members of the governing body to sign; the policy was clarified to require two signatures on checks, with at least one from a governing-body member.
Councilmember motioned and seconded adoption of the resolution, which passed by voice vote. The change is administrative in nature and intended to align official signature authority with current staff; the clerk was directed to obtain updated signature sheets and complete required paperwork.
