Suffolk schools introduce two principals and a purchasing coordinator

Superintendent Dr. John B. Gordon III used the personnel portion of the meeting to introduce three administrators who will assume new roles in the district. He introduced Robert Castine as principal at Oakland Elementary School; Castine said he is "excited to get started" after 11 years with Suffolk Public Schools and thanked administrators, staff and family for their support.
Dr. Gordon also introduced Robin Booth as the new coordinator of purchasing, noting her prior experience in the district and that she will replace Linda Bates. Booth said she is "grateful to continue my work within the purchasing department" and thanked family and colleagues for their support. Finally, Timothy Kubenak was introduced as the new principal at John Yates Middle School; Kubenak called the appointment an honor and thanked past leaders, colleagues and family in the audience.
