Manager Boucher asked the board to direct staff to draft a Retirement Policy for employees who retire; he suggested the district cover food for a retirement event and set a budget for a retirement gift and asked for the draft to be presented at the next meeting.
Boucher also announced that Utility Worker Kyle Kroeger's last day was May 22, 2026; Kroeger has served as Concow Caretaker since October 2020 and in distribution since July 2022 and has accepted a position with PG&E. The district plans to interview to fill the Concow Caretaker and Utility Worker positions.
On capital projects, staff reported the utility crew is constructing a 60' x 200' CIP backwash evaporation pond and that Duke Sherwood completed approximately 20,000 square feet of paving under a Butte County AOMD paving grant; the district anticipates reimbursement through the grant. The Golden Feather Mobile Home Park grant work was completed by CPM and the district is scheduling review meetings with consultants and SC‑OR to review findings.
