The Humboldt Planning and Zoning Board voted July 28 to recommend Ordinance O-07-28-2025 to the City Council, a package of updates to the city's planning and zoning ordinance affecting residential districts and manufactured-home standards. Mike Lias moved to recommend approval and Kristi Gambs seconded; the motion carried on a roll call vote with all members present voting aye.
The ordinance text presented at the hearing would amend Chapter 4 (Residential District) — including Section 4.03(H) on conditional uses and Section 4.10 on lot area, yard and height regulations — and Chapter 9 on additional use regulations, specifically Section 9.07(B) on manufactured-home requirements and Section 9.08 on manufactured-home park requirements. No members of the public attended the hearing. The board's recommendation now goes to the Humboldt City Council for consideration and any further public process.
