Night market, new road race route and fall fest planned; new playgrounds installed, Events Committee says

Jennifer Crane, chair of the Events Committee, told the Board that September brings a night market on the second Friday (with a rain date on Saturday) in the depot parking lot. She said the committee plans another night market in October that will coincide with the valley's second road race on a new route, and that a third road race is planned for December. Crane also noted a fall fest will be held in October at Bunny McGuire Park and said she is "very grateful for the support that they have received."
Separately Selectman Jesse Bunce reported that playgrounds have all been installed and described what each grade received; he thanked everyone involved in the installations. The board did not take votes on event permits or park improvements at the Sept. 2 meeting; these announcements were presented as committee and selectmen updates.
