Staff member Melinda summarized constituent correspondence and interim work-plan items and asked committee members whether any issues from today should be moved to September. She said staff had added PSERS eligibility for animal control officers and a Plan 1 medical-study update to the September agenda and noted that an ad hoc COLA bill for Plan 1 had been penciled in as a policy briefing. Committee members approved those items for September, discussed whether an asset-smoothing education session should be scheduled later in the year, and agreed to shift some October items into September to balance meeting length.
Chair Conway said the September agenda will include: PSERS eligibility for animal control officers, a Plan 1 medical study update for PERS and TERS systems, a Plan 1 ad hoc COLA bill and preliminary meeting dates for 2027. Members agreed this results in a shorter September meeting and asked staff to update the work plan to reflect the new sequencing.
