Director reports smooth pool season, flags lifeguard turnover and liner decision

Director Adam Bunce reported the town's pool season will end Sunday and said overall operations "ran smoothly," with swim team participation going well. He told the commission he expects to lose two lifeguards next year though other guards have expressed interest in leading the swim team again.
Bunce said pool hours were adjusted recently as college students left and school sports began. He said the pool surface will need attention next spring: if the department does not replace the liner it will need to be painted, and he indicated he may have a company available to perform a quick paint job. The report was delivered during the director's update at the Aug. 19 meeting.
