During the meeting commissioners noted a large auction/liquidation sign at a building that appears closer to demolition but said the commission had received no communication from property owners or developers. One commissioner said, "I saw the big sign up where they're doing an auction liquidation. I guess that's the contents of the building," and the chair said she had no communication and would follow up.
The chair said she plans to work on the land-use ordinance over the summer with a committee (Angie, Jeff Smothermon, Nathan Modlin, Tom Stall) rather than hire an expensive consultant, and she will send materials to the commission when available. Commissioners agreed there is no movement on a subdivision item at present. No formal action was taken on demolition or subdivision; the chair said she would continue committee work on the ordinance and contact members as needed.
